General Description:

Imagewerks Marketing is a full-service marketing communications agency based in Blaine, MN. Our Account Management team is seeking a marketing intern to complement its already successful and talented marketing group.

At IWM, we work hard and play even harder. We develop innovative marketing and advertising campaigns, creative and strategic design, print and fulfillment projects, and web and digital engagement. We are a fun team with a casual dress code (unless meeting with a client) and great atmosphere.

Every day and hour is different at IWM. The intern will gain a plethora of experience in writing, prospecting, building databases and contacts, developing strategy, implementing campaigns and social media, creating and editing proposals and other sales presentations, and all of the other tasks that come with working at a marketing agency. This position reports to the Marketing Director and will have a heavy emphasis on proposal development, prospecting and business development, and client support.

Position Overview:

  • Research, draft, edit, and proof critical documents for Account Management team, including:
    • Proposals, Brand Audit Documents, Quarterly Reviews, Analytic Reports, Speaking Engagement PowerPoints, Sales Training Documents, etc.
  • List research/procurement, update database and CRM tool.
  • Support business development efforts for Account Management team.
  • Participate in brand and marketing audits for clients.
  • Coordinate event marketing efforts and tradeshow schedules/details for IWM.
  • Manage weekly sales reports for Account Management team.
  • Communicate and set appointments for Account Management team.
  • Write prospecting letters, emails, and more.

Qualifications:

  • Working toward earning a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communication or related degree (senior status preferred)
  • Experience in marketing or communications setting
  • Excellent writing skills required
  • Experience with web and digital based communications (websites, CMS, email marketing programs, etc.)
  • Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills, and the ability to make mature judgments in matters related to client projects
  • Solid skills in time management and prioritization
  • Experience in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign), or willingness to learn more
  • Understanding of inbound marketing concepts, or willingness to learn more

Summary ::

The Imagewërks Senior Development Executive is a seasoned sales development professional with the ability to generate leads, expand account base, and exceed sales revenue for our growing creative agency. As a relationship expert for executive-level decision makers, this role demands a fearless prospect identifier/qualifier/closer who can present strategic solutions that are customized to fit each client's unique needs.

Job Responsibilities ::

  • Prospect, qualify and close prospective clients through traditional/non-traditional sales efforts using a consultative approach to assess marketing needs.
  • Collaborate with the team on new/existing client base to explore maximum up-sell potential.
  • Job estimation and proposal creation.
  • Work with the highest degree of accuracy and follow-through.
  • Meeting and exceeding all sales and client services related performance goals on a consistent basis.
  • Utilize management CRM system to track and report on pipeline activity, development status, and planning for next steps. Reviews reports, activity and status with management.

Job Requirements - Qualifications ::

  • Knowledge of traditional marketing/advertising, digital, social, and emerging medias. Email, social media and inbound marketing experience preferred.

Job Requirements - Education and/or Experience ::

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications
  • 5+ years sales experience in an agency or marketing setting with proven sales record.

Summary:

As an Associate Account Manager, you’ll be involved with learning our clients’ business to help develop and grow relationships that add value to client and our agency. You’ll be responsible for collaborating internally alongside a Business Development Executive to create great work that’s well executed to ensure high client satisfaction and account growth.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Helps drive client business and relationships as a supporting role
  • Assists with Project Management and coordination responsibilities for assigned initiatives to ensure flawless execution
  • Drives clear communication between the internal team and client as needed
  • Assists in organizing client needs and feedback
  • Assists in project kick offs, account status, and debrief meetings with internal teams
  • Works with Project Management to help execute creative, web, and digital job processes
  • Supports team in client feedback and communication, routing information, assisting in gathering research, and gathering inputs for brief development and presentations
